ABOUT
CONCRETE
Concrete consists of raw, natural materials. Formed
of lightweight aggregates, silica based cement, pigments
and various chemical additives. Reinforced with steel,
wire mesh, and polyethylene fibers. Concrete has extremely
high tensile strength, is durable, and easily maintained.
It's versatile, heat resistant, and one of the most
refined countertop materials you can select.
INTRODUCING
HANDCRAFTED CUSTOM CONCRETE COUNTERTOPS
Long
prized for its strength and durability in everything
from foundations to bridge decks, concrete is finding
its way inside. A distinctive finish material that can
be used in kitchens, baths, restaurants, and formal
dining rooms. Today concrete takes shape in designer
kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities and shower surrounds
or even fireplace mantels and hearth's. Concrete is
the preferred choice for a truly unique and handcrafted
countertop surface. This custom crafted
material worksgreat when combined with other natural
elements such as slate, granite, and wood. It offers
durable, flexible, textured, and timeless appeal. Concrete
can take on any interior theme, from rocky mountain
distressed to city contemporary.
LIMITLESS
OPTIONS
Concretes design flexibility
is perhaps its biggest attraction. Because it starts
out essentially as a liquid it can be formed into almost
any shape imaginable, including many shapes that would
either be impossible, or prohibitively expensive in
other countertop materials. Depending on the application
and the owner's preference, concrete can be poured as
thin as 3/4", or as massive as 6" thick. It
can be pigmented with iron oxides to showcase a wide
array of colors, and texture variations or it can be
treated with sulfuric acid to give it an aged leathery
patina. Materials such as metal, glass, colored aggregates,
company logos, and minerals can be inlayed into the
concrete and polished to reveal a one of a kind finish.
